I first learned about PAF after visiting their archive sale at ESSX in New York City in November 2023. I picked up a puffer, jacket, and t-shirt from that sale which I still wear today.
Up until this project, most of what I posted on my Instagram were unedited photos of individual sketchbook drawings. Since I enjoy drawing clothes the most, I wanted to challenge myself with a longer-term project, so I decided to draw an upcoming collection from a brand I liked.
Folds or shapes that normally don’t exist on a garment are fun candidates for drawing (the leaf cap is a good example, I’ve never drawn a hat with that shape before).
My favorite was the skirt. I liked the styling PAF did for it by placing a pair of glasses in the pocket. You can see them use everyday objects in other styling shots (i.e. on the postarchiveproduct page, they take flat product shots of the same skirt with an iPhone and an AirPods case to highlight pockets designed specifically for those items).
