Housing Project is a studio proposal for a residential block in Melbourne. A concrete frame sits on a plinth over an open ground floor, and access runs outside the building: a walkway threads its full length behind perforated metal and horizontal louvres, which shade the apartments and screen the people using them. The site axonometric cuts the block open against the street it joins, setting the new frame beside the arched brick and pitched roofs already there.
